This isn’t a Mirage. Dune Rockers LA CERCA Reveal Their “I Am The Song” Music Video [Exclusive Premiere]

Tucson, AZ dune-rockers La Cerca tease their Xemu Records release Night Bloom (July 27th) with a premiere of the video for their hazy single “I Am The Song”.

Led by the vocals and guitar work of Andrew Gardner, La Cerca is a Tucson, AZ-based dune-rock band which also includes Bill Oberdick (guitar), Brian Green (bass), and Tom King (drums). With the follow-up to 2015’s Sunrise For Everyone release, Night Bloom, due out on July 27th via Xemu Records, the gents are kicking their promotional blitz into high gear.

The new recording (which can be pre-ordered from the label here) once again displays the group’s penchant for psychedelic pop perfectly paired with fuzzy, mirage-inducing steel guitar. Somewhat like peyote, it’s a trip that must be experienced to properly understand. So, with that being said, hit play on our debut of the “I Am The Song” video, look for the Steven Kille-produced (yes, the dude from Dead Meadow) album at the end of the month, and if you’re in the area, check out a gig at one of the dates below.

Speaking of the single, Gardner happily offered his two cents: “‘I am The Song’ is one of many songs on ‘Night Bloom’ about inspiration.A lot of times inspiration is drawn from the surroundings of desert. The video depicts this inspiration.”
