Who are Mason Taub and Evan Zwisler? Well, they’re a Brooklyn, NY-based couple, both romantically and musically, the latter of which sees them performing as the electronic pop/rock duo, The Values. The groove-based group released their new three-song Civil EP on May 18th and today we’re thrilled to debut the colourful and retro music video for the title track! Hit play above, then check out the album’s other two tracks via Spotify here, or SoundCloud just below.

Commenting on the single, Zwisler notes: “It’s a song about someone leaving someone else and just trying to be civil. Civil is what Mason would say to me if we ever broke up. She did such a great job capturing that feeling and directing it at me. It rings so true that the song is sometimes hard to play.”

As for the video itself, well, Zwisler continues, “We wanted to do a video that highlighted all the amazing femme musicians that we’ve worked with. This video is an homage to all the amazing womyn we really respect and are proud to call our friends and contemporaries.”

Ya’ll need to hear the Civil EP and ya can right here.
