The Rolling Stones @ Old Trafford (Manchester, UK) on June 5, 2018 [Photos & Review]
At Old Trafford on Tuesday, fifty thousand fans saw The Rolling Stones show why, after a career that is closing in on sixty fucking years, they are very much on their own in the category marked “untouchable.”
There are few bands who epitomise rock n’ roll like The Rolling Stones do. For over five and a half decades, Mick Jagger and co. have been putting other groups to shame with their antics but, away from the headlines, as the guys proved on their latest UK stadium tour, they can still deliver one hell of a show.
Thousands of fans descended on Old Trafford in Manchester earlier this week when the Stones brought their “No Filter” tour to town. From the first notes of set opener “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”, Jagger shimmied around the stage with the kind of energy that few rock stars half his age can demonstrate. The set list had everything fans could want as, dripping the kind of rock charisma, the Rolling Stones showed why, after a career that is closing in on sixty fucking years, they are very much on their own in the category marked untouchable.
