German progressive death metal masters Obscura have dropped the second single “Emergent Evolution” from their new full-length Diluvium. The album was recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany, making for a monumental achievement in the quartet’s illustrious career as well as the progressive metal genre as a whole. Diluvium features all of Obscura’s signature elements, along with groundbreaking polyrhythms, dramatic songwriting, and jaw-dropping virtuosity. Once again, Obscura has raised the bar.
