As we recently noted in our review of Rain Soaked Pavements & Fresh Cut Grass, Norway’s Halcyon Days have re-emerged with a strong melodic hardcore sound on their second full-length album, due out June 15th via Indie Recordings. The Oslo-based sextet have always been rooted in melodic metal and hardcore, but this time out seem to be leaning more towards the latter of the two sounds. A good thing? Yes!

Following on from their two EPs and 2014’s debut full-length, ELEVATE, Rain Soaked Pavements & Fresh Cut Grass sees these six musicians up their performances and songwriting proficiency resulting in a hard-hitting album worthy of every fan of the aforementioned genres’ ears. After you take the time to ponder pre-order options of CD/LP and bundles directly from the label and/or a digital copy on iTunes, we could spend countless words attempting to sway you one way or another. Instead, we’ll let the music do the talking, so simply hit ‘PLAY’ below!

Commenting on the new album, the guys collectlvey noted:

“It feels great to finally get the album out there and show everybody the next chapter of Halcyon Days. We’re all really proud of this record, that we feel is a real and honest record that is close to our hearts, and we think that reflects in the lyrics and thoroughness of the songs.”

Okay, we know you like to read in order, but why’d it take you this long to stream Rain Soaked Pavements & Fresh Cut Grass?
