Kane Incognito have a brand new single called “Diagnose Me” and you should hear it! But, who is this Edmonton, Alberta-based band? Well, they’re a folky foursome who throw in ample helpings of rock, blues and indie for good measure, resulting in tunes that are as soothing and soulful as they are exciting and energizing.
Led by singer and guitarist Eric Cherrington — and rounded out by Braydon Shaw (drums), Austin Shaw (bass) and Stephen Schoenthaler (lead guitar) — the group’s foundations were set in motion upon the untimely passing of Eric’s brother. Left with a understandably large hole, Cherrington turned to the healing properties of Dr. music and let his creative outlet become his antidote.
Some time has passed, the healing has begun, and these four musicians retain a tight-as-a-clenched-fist family bond which only helps to augment their songwriting. With a lot of hard work, the boys are quickly building a buzz and you can expect to hear more from them in the hear future. For now, check them out online and listen to the new track of which Cherrington said:
“We all have unforeseen circumstances in this life we can’t control, but what we can control is how we perceive them. We all have a choice. Love or hate, what do you choose?
