The unsigned, Janesville, WI-based metalcore quartet, Versus Me, is back with new music! Due out tomorrow, May 8th, new single “Left Here” sees the group move away from their previous heaviness and foray into new waters, exploring some softer sounds and new elements. Not to fear though, the band stay true to their roots and plenty of the “loudness” remains. And, as luck would have it, we have the perfect example with a premiere for the song’s music video. Check it out now, and sample other tunes via Spotify.

Commenting on the new tune, the band shared the following statement:

“The song ‘Left Here’ was our first song we wrote as a 4-piece band. While being known primarily as a heavy band, we wanted to show a different side of versus me. After being faced with the challenge of losing our singer late last year, we wanted to prove to everyone as well as to ourselves that we are still able to do this. Lyrically the song hits on what we were going through during that transitional period of time. I wrote it as a means to cope with the bummed out feeling that our friends no longer wanted to pursue this with us.”
