Energetic post-punkers Spring King and up-and-coming local outfit Sophie and The Giants have been confirmed as part of the line-up on the brand new Leadmill stage at this year’s Tramlines Festival. Curated by local legend The Reverend Jon McClure, on Sunday the Leadmill stage will feature the new acts, as well as Tom Grennan and Sheffield five-piece Sheafs.

“I am very excited to be bringing the best new music to Tramlines,” says Jon. “I’m stoked to be working with my friends at the Leadmill and also having Tom Grennan and Sophie and the Giants will be ace as they are artists I have worked with.”

The highly anticipated 10th edition of Tramlines Festival boasts its biggest, broadest and best line-up of musical talent yet for the new location on Hillsborough Park from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd July 2018. Tramlines’ new home – licenced up to 40,000 people – features four different stages, a wider than ever before range of entertainment including pop-up cinema, comedy lineup, special treats from Sheffield’s local breweries, a kids and family area and much more.

Weekend tickets are now on sale costing £59 plus booking fee and available from www.tramlines.org.uk.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
