Lower Than Atlantis @ Plug (Sheffield, UK) on May 14, 2018 [Photos]
PureGrainAudio joined a couple of hundred fans in Sheffield as Watford boys Lower Than Atlantis brought their two month long tour of some of the more intimate venues in the UK to a close. Check out the photos here…
It’s not often bands of the level that Watford’s Lower Than Atlantis reach head out on tours like this one. You see, having bothered the lower reaches of the mainstream music charts in recent months as well as muscling their way up the bill on some of the bigger “alternative” festivals, Lower Than Atlantis have taking things back to their roots.
Further credit must be given to the band for not just doing three or four of these intimate gigs as most bands do but, instead, heading out on almost two months of dates spanning the length and breadth of the UK and Scotland. Visiting towns they probably haven’t set foot in for a good few years, we caught the tour as it came to a close at the Plug in Sheffield. Predictably packed to the rafters, the band were absolutely on fire as they hit the stage and, despite sound problems midway through their set resulting in frontman Mike Duce performing from the middle of the crowd, there probably couldn’t have been a better way for the band to sign off this tour.
