CHASTITY Announce a Month-Long Summer Tour in Support of ‘Death Lust’
Whitby, Ontario’s Chastity have announced that they will be supporting Mourn this summer on a month-long tour of the United States.
Whitby, Ontario’s Chastity have announced that they will be supporting Mourn this summer on a month-long tour of the United States. The band will be touring behind their debut record Death Lust which will be released on Friday the 13th of July. The band’s songs are charged with the struggles of those who exist in the unseen and often silenced periphery. Chastity’s music is a call for the disruption of the status quo. This far, they have shared the stage with bands such as Metz, Chelsea Wolfe and Fucked Up, accomplishing this all without the release of a full-length record.
Death Lust is something of a concept record, following the plot of suffering to survival. Briefly commenting on the record, Chastity said, “Death Lust is about growing up death-obsessed. It’s about the pain that it takes but the capacity that we have to overcome.”
Chastity’s music is reflective of band leader Brandon Williams’ working-class background in Whitby.
