As Bloodstock 2018 gets closer, organisers have announced more bands for the line-up this August.

The new additions read as follows:

Power Trip (Main Stage)
Conjurer (Sophie Lancaster Stage)
Forgotten Remains (Sophie Lancaster Stage)
A Forest Of Stars (Sophie Lancaster Stage)
Alien Weaponary (Sophie Lancaster Stage)
Bio-Cancer (Sophie Lancaster Stage)

In further festival news, Bloodstock is taking part in the Drastic on Plastic campaign alongside 60 other independent festivals to try and rid festivals of non-recyclable plastics within the next 3 years. This year the festival has opted in to the Final Straw initiative, ridding the festival of plastic straws, meaning none of the bars or retailers are permitted to use these on site. Moving forward Bloodstock aims to stop the use of single-use plastics on site by 2021, this will include plastic bar cups and drink bottles.

Bloodstock will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 9th-12th August 2018 with Nightwish, Gojira and Judas Priest confirmed as headliners. Get further information over at http://www.bloodstock.uk.com.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
