Oshawa, ON-based metal quartet Fallen Legion have confirmed a May 18th release for their forthcoming six-track EP, Downfall (pre-order at CD Baby or band’s website), and today are teasing new music with a stream of the single “Way Out”. Clocking in at just under twenty-five minutes, Downfall the veteran musicians have concocted yet another solid example of their eclectic metal mix. The new album follows 2012’s Screams From The Dungeon and 2015’ Infinite Archive, releases which landed the guys shows supporting the likes of Soilwork, 36 Crazyfists, Unearth, Havok and Battlecross.

Commenting on the EP, the guys shared the following overview:

“[Downfall is] the journey of a downfall. Going from stable to unbound and the choices that come with the calamity. The single embraces the human struggle and highlights the importance of hope. The album is about dealing with stress – mortal blows, drugs, thoughts of suicide, the inner struggle, and the wrath of it all. The album represents the outcome of painful experiences. Songs like ‘Escapegoat’ deal with not being able to handle the consequences of one’s actions and pushing them onto those weaker than yourself.”

Vocalist Josh Masterson added, “This EP is like nothing we’ve done before. This metamorphosis of sound aims to capture and inspire the listener. However, this journey has only just begun.”
