Sabaton and Kreator headed out on a co-headlining tour, with the support of Cyhra, and stopped at The Paramount Theater in Huntington, NY on a chilly Sunday evening.

Cyhra, a melodic metal band consisting of members from other great metal bands (such as In Flames and Amaranthe), opened the show. This new-ish group hit the stage running. Their combined talents got the show started off on the right foot. Next up was Kreator. This 80’s German thrash metal band knows how to play to a crowd. Fans from old to new split the crowd in half, and moshed at the command of the band. The stage was alight with strobes and flashing lights really setting the scene for an amazing performance.

Last on stage was Sabaton, and if you’ve ever seen them play before, you know they put on a fantastic show. They hit the stage, which was decked out in army gear, with “In the Army Now” as their intro and played a lot of songs off their newest album The Last Stand, such as “Sparta”, “Blood of Bannockburn”, and title track “The Last Stand”. They closed off the show with an amazing encore of “Primo Victoria”, “Shiroyama” and “To Hell and Back”.

Overall, this was a top-notch metal show with a great turn out, especially for a late night Sunday show.
