News Round-Up Featuring PRESS TO MECO, EELS, THE SKULL and more

It’s been a busy week around the rock world so here’s a quick round up of some of the news stories that you might have missed…

There have been plenty of massive news stories breaking across the rock scene this week to get our pulses races like news of Nine Inch Nails’ newly announced London show and Seattle icons Alice In Chains announcing a Summer headline tour and new album. Here’s a quick round of up some of the other news stories that might have crept under your radar.

1. Lunatic Soul announce the release of Under The Fragmented Sky
Lunatic Soul aka Mariusz Duda has announced the release of his sixth studio album, the companion to 2017’s Fractured and the pinnacle of the first decade of Lunatic Soul. Under the Fragmented Sky is set for release on 25th May via Kscope and you can watch a teaser trailer here.

2. Eels Have Shared a New Song “Premonition”
Eels have shared “Premonition”, a brand new track taken from their forthcoming album release, The Deconstruction, due April 6th via E Works/[PIAS]. The track follows single, “Today Is The Day”, the video for which stars Mike Mitchell of Netflix series Love.

3. The Skull Complete Work on New Album and Announce European Dates
Chicago’s The Skull, have confirmed that work is complete on their new album which is scheduled for release this autumn via Tee Pee Records. To accompany this news, the band have also announced a run of European tour dates for later in the year. The dates kick off in Amstelveen, Netherlands on September 26 and run through to October 20 where the band perform at Siggiewi Malta Doom Metal Festival. 4. As Sirens Fall Release New Single “Lily”
With exactly one month to go before new EP Where Lost Things Go is unleashed on the world, Keighley quintet As Sirens Fall have released “Lily” the second single from the EP. “Lily” was released across all digital and streaming services at midnight on the 13th of March and sees the band taking a slightly different approach to the EP’s first hit single, “In My Mind” which featured Skindred‘s Benji Webbe.

5. Seven Sisters Confirm Release of ‘The Cauldron Of The Cross’
Seven Sisters release their long awaited and highly anticipated second album via Dissonance on April 13, 2018. Recorded in rainy London over the dark winter The Cauldron And The Cross features artwork painfully and beautifully painted by Simon Pye Parr of 2000AD / Realm of The Damned fame.

6. Press To Meco Announce Album Launch Shows
British alt-rock trio Press to MECO have just announced they will play a headline show at The Black Heart in London on 11th April, following the release of their new album, Here’s To The Fatigue. 7. Witchsorrow Confirm May 25 Release for New Album ‘Hexenhammer’
Hampshire doom metal maniacs Witchsorrow are due to release their fourth studio album, Hexenhammer, on May 25th via Candlelight Records. First single, ‘Demons of the Mind’, can be heard here: http://witchsorrow.lnk.to/hexenhammer.

8. Post-Metal Outfit Telepathy Announce Tour Dates and Festival Dates
Colchester based instrumental, progressive, post-metal, outfit Telepathy have announced a series of tour dates with Dopelord, The Ocean and Rosetta as well as festival appearances at Desertfest, Dunk!
