FORT ROCK 2018: Festival Preview with Spotify Playlist
In 2013, Fort Rock was born in Fort Myers, FL: a city where live music is scarce and big names rarely visit.
In 2013, Fort Rock was born in Fort Myers, FL: a city where live music is scarce and big names rarely visit.
The Offspring, 3 Doors Down, Stone Sour, Papa Roach, and more made its first year a success at Jet Blue Park. Over the years, the festival has hosted headliners such as Korn, Slipknot, Breaking Benjamin, and many other similarly stellar acts.
Fast forward to 2018 and the event has a new home in Fort Lauderdale, FL – many are happy and many are angry, as Fort Myers hosted the event since its inception. Given that the west coast of Florida doesn’t see reputable artists, unless you live in Tampa or north thereof, it is obvious that no matter the location, Fort Rock is going to bring in thousands.

This year, the festival has its biggest headliner yet: metal icon Ozzy Osbourne. Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin are also set to play the event, scheduled for April 28th and 29th at Markham Park. The moving of the event will make for a bigger and better festival, according to its organizers, making the trek across Alligator Alley worthwhile.
Fort Rock’s Saturday lineup features Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown, Halestorm, Bullet For My Valentine, Underoath, Trivium, Hatebreed, Texas Hippie Coalition, Power Trip, ’68 and Bad Wolves.
The Sunday lineup features Ozzy Osbourne, Breaking Benjamin, Stone Sour, Stone Temple Pilots, Killswitch Engage, Hollywood Undead, Sevendust, Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, Avatar, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown and Toothgrinder.

Free sampling will be available on their Monster Energy viewing deck, one of the best seats in the house. The food vendors offer meals to all, with or without dietary restrictions. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options are available to those in need. All information can be found at http://fortrockfestival.com/experiences/#.
Fort Rock is a part of the US festival series World’s Loudest Month, and is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents and AEG Presents.
