After a year on hiatus Heavy Montreal is returning in 2018 and the lineup for the massive hard rock/heavy metal festival has now been announced. Over forty bands will take the stage over the two day festival, featuring Avenged Sevenfold, festival pioneer Rob Zombie, the always controversial Marilyn Manson and French heavy metal band Gojira. Other big names on the bill include Emperor, Underoath, Hollywood Undead, Trivium and Asking Alexandria.

Heavy Montreal 2018 will be taking place on July 28th and 29th at Parc Jean-Drapeau and it will be preceded on July 27th with Heavy in the City. This year’s event is taking place on new temporary festival grounds on île Notre-Dame – steps away from Jean-Drapeau metro station. This will be specifically set up to welcome thousands of fans to the site during two memorable days of heavy music. Festivalgoers will be able to fully enjoy this world-class festival site only 15 minutes away from downtown Montreal on île Notre-Dame. Meanwhile, the City of Montreal will be completing renovations on Île Saint-Hélène in time for the tenth edition of the festival in 2019.
