GOLD Release Remix EP Plus Accompanying Video

Post-everything six piece, GOLD, have released a two track remix EP titled Faces I Don’t Recall – The Optimist Remixes. The EP is released via Oaken Palace Records with all proceeds to be donated to the preservation of the critically endangered white-backed vulture.

The band comments:
“The case of the white-backed vulture is a glaring example of what situation many species find themselves in now and how humanity deals with them and their habitats. The once big and thriving population of white-backed vultures has been sacrificed on the altar of the economy. Agricultural pesticides and ever diminishing habitats have made life for this beautiful animal practically impossible, seriously threatening the white-backed vulture with extinction. And sadly many other species are in similar situations right now, just because we all can’t control our greed.”

To accompany the EP release, GOLD have premiered a video for the Bestial Mouths remix of ‘You Too Must Die’, alongside a Dutch language interview with Never Mind The Hype.

GOLD released their latest album Optimist last year via Ván Records to wide critical acclaim. Watch the video for the track Teenage Lust here. As they prepare to say their farewells to touring the Optimist album, GOLD have been working on a last goodbye to the songs that have propelled them around the continent over the past year or so.

Ever ready to test the boundaries of musical creation and consumption, Optimist tracks ‘White Noise’ and ‘You Too Must Die’ have been remixed by Necro Deathmort and Bestial Mouths respectively. The EP will be available via Bandcamp and as a 7″ physical release.
