FROM ASHES TO NEW Look to ‘The Future’ with New Album Due Out Soon
US rock/rap group From Ashes To New have announced April 20th as the release date of their new album The Future
US rock/rap group From Ashes To New have announced April 20th as the release date of their new album The Future. The first single, “Crazy” can be heard below in a new lyric video.
The band first broke at the end of 2016 with the success of their debut record Day One, but after finishing their last tour behind that album in December 2016, personnel changes began. The band has now revamped itself, consisting of founder, rapper and programmer Matt Brandyberry and guitarist Lance Dowdle with new members vocalist Danny Case and drummer Mat Madiro.
“Pretty much anything that could go wrong to try and slow down the process and throw you a curveball happened during the last year since we came off the road, but we came out on the other side,” commented Brandyberry.
“I was in a very down mind frame because of what was happening with the other members leaving and the anxiety made it difficult to write at times but ultimately I found the right people to come together and we decided we were going to write the best music we possibly could and see where that took us.”
Regarding “Crazy,” Danny Case said, “Crazy’ is, at its core, a song about someone or something driving you absolutely out of your mind and feeling unable to walk away from it. I feel like everyone at one point or another experiences that in their lives.” The song was recorded at Atrium Audio with producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak (August Burns Red) and mixed by Josh Wilbur (Korn, Lamb Of God).
