NEW MODEL ARMY Plan April 2018 “Nights of 1000 Voices” Performances in London
Post punk veterans New Model Army plan to venture into uncharted territory with their announcement of a two-night performance in London.
Post punk veterans New Model Army plan to venture into uncharted territory with their announcement of a two-night performance in London. Entitled “Nights of 1000 Voices”, the band will perform quiet sets at the Round Chapel on April 13th and 14th 2018.
The performance is designed to incorporate audience vocal participation into the band’s music. The venue holds a circular shape with the performers positioned in the centre while the audience is seated around them. The band will be performing a stripped down set without a PA system in order to bring out the voices of the audience members. Additionally, lyric books will be provided and are included in the ticket price.
This innovative idea is focused around the concept of community building through music. The venue’s reverb-drenched acoustics will empower the audience members and capture the essence of music appreciation. Though to two initial shows quickly sold out, the band was kind enough to add an additional matinee show on the 15th of April. Tickets for this show can be purchased right here.
