Citysick – “Leaning” [Free Song Download]
Grab a free download of the single “Leaning” from Chico, California-based emo quartet, Citysick.
While Chico, California-based quartet Citysick might describe their sound as “sad bastard music”, they certainly cheered up a bunch of audio enthusiasts when they issued their five-track Get Better EP on December 1st, 2017. A mix of emo, alternative and indie, the guys deliver a great mix of musicianship, production, and quality tunes.
Founded by guitarists Kaleb Sievers and David Hollenbeck during the fall of 2016, Citysick aim to combine upbeat music with honest storytelling. You can purchase the album via Bandcamp for $5 but as of today, grab the single “Leaning” from your fave music homies.
Commenting on the tune, vocalist and rhythm guitarist Kaleb Sievers noted: “‘Leaning,’ the second track from ‘Get Better’, is a song that explores the feelings of being in an unhealthy relationship. One where the other person involved relies on you, and only you for everything, from their happiness at any given moment, to their overall definition of their mental health and self. It can be painful, and even scary to walk away from these kinds of situations, but in the end you have to do what is best for yourself.”
