Avatar (w/ The Brains, Hellzapoppin) @ The Opera House (Toronto, ON) on January 7, 2018 [Photos & Show Review]
Avatar brought their wildly entertaining brand of metal to a sold-out Opera House in Toronto, along with American rockers The Brains and Hellzapoppin.

On Sunday night, Swedish masters of mayhem, Avatar, brought their wildly entertaining brand of metal to a sold-out Opera House in Toronto, along with American rockers The Brains and Hellzapoppin.
Hellzapoppin started things off with an array of death defying acts, including the likes of sword swallowing, swinging bowling balls attached to hooks through eyelids, balancing chainsaws & lawn mowers with teeth, walking on broken glass, eating razor blades… you get the idea.
Next up was The Brains with their rockabilly/punk/metal set. A double bass, a guitar, and a drum kit is all it took to make the crowd go nuts. By the end of their set, everyone was chanting “more Brains please”.
A short break to change stage setup and headliners Avatar hit the stage with an “All Hail The King” and very dramatic entrance. A multilevel stage had “The King” perched high on a golden throne, surrounded by his guitarist subjects. Welcome to Avatar country!
Avatar’s Setlist:
01. Glory To Our King
02. Legend Of The King
03. Let It Burn
04. Paint Me Red
