PRIMITIVE RACE Go for Some “Dancing on the Sun” with Stream of New Track

Check out this new stream of “Dancing on the Sun,” from alternative rockers Primitive Race’s new record Soul Pretender. This is a super group through and through, featuring vocals from Chuck Mosely (Faith No More, Bad Brains, Cement, VUA), music by Erie Loch (LUXT, Blownload, Exageist), Mark Gemini Thwaite (Peter Murphy, Tricky, Gary Numan), bass and songwriting from founding member Chris Kniker, and drums by Dale Crover of The Melvins.

“When I listened to the music, ideas just came pouring out,” Mosley had previously commented. “I couldn’t say no to doing the record. When we completed the first few tracks, I found myself wishing I had written them. Not just the lyrics…just good heavy riffs and grooves really sucked me in. The melodies and words came super easy with this music. Even though it’s a whole different vibe it brought out a side of me I haven’t experienced since writing with Faith No More.
