Oh, snap, we’ve got some sick stuff for you to wind-up your weekend fun! Welcome to the world of melodic hardcore upstart, Heal.! This Long Island, NY-based band is all ready to self-release their debut album No Love / No Light on November 10th, and we’re amping up the masses with this premiere of the single and video for “Skylight”. The track is a window into the quintet’s new offering, produced by Gregory Thomas of Misery Signals and recorded at Silverbullet Studios.

The band’s vocalist, Ryan, commented on the song saying: “‘Skylight’ is essentially about the final moments of one’s life. The atmosphere, the acceptance of one’s life decisions, and the uncertainty of the afterlife. The title comes from the perspective, one lying on their death bed staring up at the skylight breathing in their final breaths. The thought of death has always been something that has plagued me as I aged, the finality of it is almost paralyzing, and that was my approach to writing the lyrics, I wanted to write something that reflected that.”

Born in 2003, V13 was a socio-political website that, in 2005, morphed into PureGrainAudio and spent 15 years developing into one of Canada's (and the world’s) leading music sites. On the eve of the site’s 15th anniversary, a full re-launch and rebrand takes us back to our roots and opens the door to a full suite of Music, Film, TV, and Cultural content.
