The progressive metal mench in Asbury Park, NJ-based band Toothgrinder are set to return in a BIG way with the imminent unveiling of their sophomore studio recording, Phantom Amour. Slated for a November 10th release via Spinefarm Records (with pre-order options here), the thirteen-track outing follows 2015’s Nocturnal Masquerade debut. The previously-debuted track “The Shadow” can be heard below but, as of today via your fave #musicheads, we’re stoked to offer a preview of new single “Let It Ride”!

The band commented on the new single, revealing: “What started out as a joke and a repetitive slogan for the record, slowly morphed into one of the most diverse songs on the record. A lot of the album was solely written on intuition and a conscious effort to not over-think anything. Whenever one of us started questioning anything we were doing on the record, someone in the group would just yell out ‘Dude, just let it ride’. As the album progressed and we started to dig into more of a rock sound, we realized that this would be a perfect song title and theme for our most straight up song. Personally, this is one of my favorite songs on Phantom Amour because it is so wildly different than anything I have done before. It was so much fun pushing ourselves into such unknown territory. For some it might be too much of a side-step into a certain direction, but for us, it felt like it was meant to be.”
