Stormzy – “4PM in London” [Song Review]
A year ago, Drake showed us what happens at 4pm in Calabasas. This year, across the Atlantic, Stormzy wants to talk about what is going down at 4pm in London.
A year ago, Drake showed us what happens at 4pm in Calabasas. This year, across the Atlantic, Stormzy wants to talk about what is going down at 4pm in London.
Stormzy elaborates on his continued rise to the top in style. Clearly, the London-born rapper is feeling at the top of his game since the release of his latest album Gang Signs and Prayer. On “4PM in London” he goes hard about those who doubted him, judged him and most of all, those who thought they should of “let him go.”
He even makes reference to Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich, in relation to making your way to the top. That’s fishy, thought he was a Manchester United fan….
Nonetheless, the simple snare and bass beat, with a creative video to the track on YouTube, this new freestyle might just end up in the conversation alongside “Vaseline” by Ice Cube and “Ether” by Nas. A must-listen!
Run Time: 4:22
Release Date: October 1, 2017
