Steve Aoki – “One More Light” (Chester Forever Remix) [Song Review]

The light of Chester Bennington will forever be remembered. The talented, humble and heartfelt artist was a loving husband and father. Aoki has done him justice.

Everyone put up your lighters, this one is for Chester! The lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, tragically committed suicide in his home on July 20th, 2017, just before the band were set to head out on a 29-day North American tour, according to Rolling Stone.

The band recently held a concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles; the first live performance since Bennington’s passing. The last album produced by Linkin Park was called One More Light, released in May of this year. A friend of Chester Bennington’s, Steve Aoki has now honoured his good friend in the most effective way possible, by remixing one of Linkin Park’s best songs of the year.

The stunning remix begins with the main core of the original song combined with a light electronic synth. A quick drum beat builds up, right before the euphoric and emotional drop that follows. Easily one of the best lines of the track is, “Who cares if one more light goes out, but I do.”
