The independent Portland, Maine progressive rockers known as Five of the Eyes are quickly ramping up to release their debut LP, The Venus Transit. The nine-song offering, which can be pre-ordered via Bandcamp, is due out on September 29th and was produced, recorded, and mixed at Windham, Maine’s Halo Studio by Jonathan Wyman. Excited to hear the album? We are too! Until then, we guess you’ll just have to make do with the brand new music video for the single “Wasteland”! Created by Herman Mantis, the clip was shot on location at the same studio where the album was recorded.

Guitarist Ned Rich commented on the video: “The video was filmed while we were cutting basic tracks for the record at The Halo. We had such a blast making this record there and this video is a great snapshot of what was pretty much the highlight of our year so far. We decided to use that footage for a music video so we could share a little of that experience with our fans, friends, and family.”

Singer Darrell Foster added, “We’re great friends with the brothers Sam and Will that founded Herman Mantis and filmed this video with us. Just before filming the vocal takes Sam lined up a few shots of this limited edition whiskey, ‘Rye or Die’. He said a few shots of this will loosen me up. I think it did the trick.”
