Warning: By reading this article and agreeing to press play on the album premiere below, you’re accepting that for the next 52+ minutes of your life your are going to be submitted to an “apocalyptic funeral doom exploration of the madness of the cosmos.”

Simply titled S, the sophomore release from Wilmington, North Carolina-based band Mesmur is a metallic beast lurking in a dense forest of terrifying sounds that we don’t recommend listening to with the lights off.

S was recorded and engineered by the band, with mixing and mastering via Jeremy L. Grab your own copy via Bandcamp or Solitude Productions today!

The band’s guitarist, synth, and composer Jeremy L. checked in about the recording, noting: “This is an album we’ve had in the works for a long time, and it is by far the biggest thing we’ve ever created in terms of sound, themes, and general scope. It’s cold, it’s oppressive, and it’s hostile, but I also think it has a melodic flow to it that should appeal to fans of various styles of heavy music. I can’t wait to release it.”

On the eve of the site’s 15th anniversary, a full re-launch and rebrand takes us back to our roots and opens the door to a full suite of Music, Film, TV, and Cultural content.
