The Golden Pony – “Risk Taker” (ft. Denham) [Song Review]
“Risk Taker”, the latest single by Brooklyn duo The Golden Pony, is the kind of song that’s perfect for a road trip but doesn’t really stand out.

“Risk Taker”, the latest single by Brooklyn duo The Golden Pony and featuring vocals by Denham, is the kind of song that’s perfect for a road trip along a golden highway or a summer beach playlist. Its breathy female vocals and smooth synths make it easy to listen to, and it’s accessible to those who don’t listen to much electronic music or who prefer more traditional pop.
However, this same ease-of-listen makes it pretty generic. Although it will appeal to fans of house or tropic house music, it doesn’t present anything particularly new either musically or vocally. It flows smoothly from line to line, but there isn’t much about it to help it stand out, either.
Run Time: 3:25
Release Date: June 25, 2017
