LOCKDOWN Fest and Heavy As Fuck Finals @ The Rockpile (Toronto, ON) on July 2, 2017 [Photos & Show Review]

For those that decided to hang out in the city over the Canada Day long weekend, there was musical entertainment all over Toronto… point in case, Lockdown Festival with the Heavy As Fuck finals at The Rockpile.

The Rockpile is a great music venue with frequent killer shows. This weekend they hosted both the aforementioned Heavy As Fuck Finals and Lockdown Festival. Three days of, as the name says… heavy-as-fuck music. With 3 stages, (indoor main, patio, and parking lot) the music was almost endless. Over the course of the 3 days, the list of bands that performed was endless. Moreover, music aside, the venue also offered up street hockey, fireworks, and a BBQ.

A crowd of fans having a great time, really friendly staff, great food (Rockpile Burger kicks ass), a multitude of refreshing beverages, sunshine, and loads of “kick you in the head” loud music spell… Happy Canada Day!

The Heavy As Fuck Winners were Montreal’s metalcore mench, DistortHead. I had the opportunity to catch their performance on Sunday and holy shit did they ever kick ass!
