WILDSPEAKER Seek a “Renewal” with New Song Stream

Dallas blackened crust band Wildspeaker have released a stream for “Renewal,” the closing track to the band’s new album Spreading Adder. The new album is full of driving riffs and encompasses a thick, weighty atmosphere. Thematically and lyrically, it focuses on the resilience of nature and the ultimate downfall of humanity.

Vocalist Natalie Kahan commented, “Renewal’ is a lesson in loss and transformation. Like a snake sheds its skin, we should kill the parts of ourselves we don’t need anymore. As soon as we finished writing ‘Renewal’, we knew it would be the perfect way to end the album. It perfectly captures what we organically write as a band when we try to write music to a theme or story.”
