The Dukes are a French group who simply put, freaking rock! Their sound is catchy as hell, high energy, and needs to be played with the volume cranked up. Formed in 2010, the guys have a couple releases under their belts with more new stuff on the way. Their latest offering, the full-length titled Smoke Against The Beat was produced by Jamie Candiloro (REM, Ryan Adams) and drops on July 28th via Concrete Entertainment.

To help promote the new material, we’ve partnered with the band to premiere the brand new music video for their single “Black Hole Love”. Filmed in France – at the Zenith Arena in Lille and Grand Hall in Tours – the clip captures The Dukes’ high-octane performance. Grab the single on Friday, June 23rd!

The Dukes’ Francois “Shanka” Maigret commented on the single and video as follows:

“’Black Hole Love’ is a song about lust, love and destruction. When you’re travelling a lot, sometimes you meet people who seem attractive and appealing at first, but who act just like ‘black holes’: they drag you away from everyone you love and eventually lead you into a world of pain and misery. If you follow that kind of white rabbit, it’s very hard to go back and try to fix the mess you caused. Usually, when you realize that, it’s almost too late.

The video was shot in at the Zenith arena in Lille and at the Grand Hall in Tours, both in France. These shows were sold out and the crowds were amazing. The energy was palpable and we hope it comes through with the video for ‘Black Hole Love’!”
