Phoenix, Arizona’s El West is an alternative rock group which incorporates soaring vocals into their simple yet alluring music. The release of their debut five-track self-titled EP on December 15th of 2016 quickly led to glowing reviews and national press praising the guys for their work. El West’s lead singer and guitarist Bryant Powell commented on the song: “’Rose Letter A’ was primarily written compositionally by our guitarist, Thomas Brenneman. The idea behind the meaning and lyrics of the song, was written as a postcard to a dear friend that moved to Spain recently. I think that everyone can relate to a feeling of loss, in one form or another, and it can be a difficult thing to deal with. This song just helped me cope with the loss of having her nearby.”
