Mayday Parade @ The Paramount (Huntington, NY) on May 11, 2017 [Photos & Show Review]

With 10 Year Anniversary Tours becoming a standard in the last few years as some of the most jammed records of our youths reach that milestone, Mayday Parade’s A Lesson in Romantics was one of the most anticipated on the list of albums turning 10 in 2017.

When Mayday Parade took the stage of The Paramount and jumped right into their breakout single and opening track from the record, “Jamie All Over,” everyone in the room was instantly transported to a place of nostalgia and worry-free joy. They continued to rip through all 12 tracks off A Lesson In Romantics while putting on one of the most incredible productions I’ve seen in years. The sheer production value of the tour just goes to show how far this band has come in the 10 years since this record was first released.

The set wasn’t done yet when they finished the emotional closing track on the record “You Be the Anchor That Keeps My Feet on the Ground, I’ll Be the Wings That Keep Your Heart in the Clouds” the guys followed it up with a beautiful rendition of “Redemption Song” by Bob Marley before closing out the set with a few more fan favorites.
