Revered British alternative rockers Bush, along with Chicago indie rock group The Kickback, played a killer show on May 18th at Toronto’s Rebel Nightclub. It was a full house at the newly renovated club and while The Kickback set the tone for the evening, the massive crowd was for sure there to see frontman Gavin Rossdale and co.
Kicking off the evening with the hugely popular single “Everything Zen”, the hits just kept flowing the rest of the set. The new songs that Bush performed sounded equally great and the accompanying light/video show was just awesome. (From giant fire-red wasps buzzing around the screen to silhouettes of female bodies across three large screens, the video production was impressive.)
At one point Rossdale even made his way into the crowd and was roaming all over the two-story venue during the entirety of a song. With an early evening dedication to the late Chris Cornell, this was an absolutely perfect night of rock n roll.
