Rochester, NY quartet Maybird has released their new single “Keep In Line”, produced by Patrick Carney, who is known for being the drummer of The Black Keys. Maybird provide a psychedelic pop style, and will tour the U.S. this Spring.

Founding member Josh Netsky commented on the song’s creation: “I was sitting up on my roof in Brooklyn alone, zoned out, listening to this construction vehicle beeping a repetitive melody in the distance and something clicked. I recorded the sound of the beeps and made that the basis for “Keep in Line.” The lyrics ended up being about a feeling of restlessness when someone you’re used to having around is out being productive and you’re not, but wish you were… that’s what was going on with me at the time. There’s some pretty clear relationship lingo in here, but a lot of this song is also about the desire to travel and make music.”
