Power metal heavyweights Dragonforce has released a brand new track “Curse Of Darkness”, the second single from their impending seventh album Reaching Into Infinity, out May 19th via Metal Blade Records.

The album is the band’s first with Italian drummer Gee Anzalone, and was largely recorded at Fascination Street Studios, Sweden, with producer Jens Bogren. The band also recorded some tracks whilst on tour in support of their Killer Elite “best of” compilation, utilising Lamerluser Studios in London, UK, Dark Lane Studios in Witney, UK and the band’s own Evil1 Studios in Charleville-Mezieres, France and Shredforce One Studios in California, U.S.A.

Dragonforce bassist Frederic Leclercq commented: “I think we have proven that playing fast was something we were good at, so this time I wanted to bring even more diversity into our music. It’s great to challenge ourselves instead of staying in a comfort zone, and I really wanted to experiment with Marc’s vocals. I think people are going to be surprised at his brutality!”

The band kick-off a U.S. tour in July, which will give fans a chance to hear the new material.
