Castle Black – “Premonition” [Free Song Download]
We had a feeling that you’d dig the Brooklyn, New York-based all-female rock/punk trio known as Castle Black, so we partnered with the ladies to offer their song “Premonition” as a free download.
We had a feeling that you’d dig the Brooklyn, New York-based all-female rock/punk trio known as Castle Black, so we partnered with the ladies to offer their song “Premonition” as a free download. Taken from their new five-song EP, Losing Forever, which you can purchase via Bandcamp RIGHT HERE, the single is a prime example of the group’s music, which mashes-up punk, post-punk, grunge, alternative and new wave.
Losing Forever was released on October 22th, 2016, and they’ve been running amok ever since. Constant shows, tours, festival appearances, these women have grabbed the proverbial bull by the horns and show no sighs of letting go any time soon.
Leigh Celent commented on the track’s meaning: “‘Premonition’ is a song about that weird space in time when a relationship is over, but only one of the people has moved on. For the person who hasn’t, there can be an air of anxiety, fear, turmoil associated with the thought of running into the person or hearing something from mutual friends, and finding out that they have in fact moved on. The song plays a bit with the timeline of events, and flashbacks are interspersed with reality are interspersed with conjecture. It’s definitely one of our more upbeat songs musically, and one where the lyrics flow a bit more like a story being told.”
