Brighton’s Heavy Rockers PORSHYNE Will Awe You with Their ‘Environmental Music’ EP [Exclusive Premiere]

Brighton, UK-based atmospheric rock quintet, Porshyne, are a relatively new band which, though they formed as recently as 2014, offer up some killer heavy rock with a quality that belies their short history. After cementing themselves locally, the lads stormed off to prepare Environmental Music, their debut EP produced by Mark Roberts (Black Peaks, Broker, The Physics House Band).

Well, today we have the great pleasure of sharing said EP with you! Environmental Music is a fantastic mix of progressive, alternative and post-rock, and electronic with an overall heaviness and sound that should rest well with a broad range of rock fans. Are you with Radiohead, Tool, Karnivool, QOTSA and/ or Kyuss? Well, you should surely be into what Porshyne is peddling. And if not, maybe you just don’t appreciate quality rock of this nature.

Vocalist and guitarist Fergal Lyden commented on the EP, “We’re really happy about how the record has turned out and excited to get it out for people to listen to. Mark (producer) did an amazing job of capturing what we were aiming towards, and how representative we feel this EP is of us as a band is testament to that. Environmental Music is an intensely structured body of work, which is as meticulous as it is powerful. Records that manage to merge such a wide variety of styles and exhibit such a multitude of musical landscapes in such an unabridged manner are rare.
