Kaptur – “Futureproof” [Free Song Download]
St. Catharines’ rockers Kaptur released their Go To Waste EP (purchase it right here) on February 3rd and today we’re pleased to offer a free download of the track “Futureproof”.
St. Catharines, Ontario is where you’re most likely to run into Kaptur, a four-piece band which “aims to challenge traditional rock conventions” by mixing elements of experimental, indie and art rock into their own sound. With a diverse array of musical influences, the band have successfully crafted not only an original album, but also one that’s highly noteworthy. The Go To Waste EP (purchase it right here) dropped on February 3rd and today we’re pleased to offer a free download of the track “Futureproof”.
The band commented on the track: “‘Futureproof’ is a song that combines the kinds of complex rhythms, guitar riffs, and musical textures that we love the most. From the angular percussive intro to the atmospheric finale, and all the sonic laters in between, we tried to pack as many sounds into this song as we can. Lyrically, it’s about regrets and self-reflection, and the paranoia and self-delusion that you can find yourself succumbing to in your lowest moments. It’s off our new EP Go to Waste which was released on February 3rd.”
