Kreator – “Gods Of Violence” [Album Review]
Even thirty years into their career, German thrashers Kreator are still banging out vicious, top quality thrash. Read our review of their fourteenth offering.
We are barely four weeks into 2017 and already have a molten slab of metal to kick off the year and get us through the cold winter months. Gods Of Violence, the fourteenth studio album from legendary thrash metal titans Kreator, is the perfect way to kick off 2017.
I have been a fan of these guys from the beginning and have always listed them in my version of the “Big Four.” Over the years, their sound has veered in various direction but, with Gods Of Violence, they have come full circle and returned to their thrash roots, where they are one of the best in the business. Tightly-wound razor-sharp riffs lead the charge as the band rip through eleven perfectly crafted, headbanging metal tunes. This is classic, finely tuned European thrash at its best and I think it is amazing that, more than 30 years into their career, they are still, not only relevant, but setting the bar quite high.
Do yourself a favor, check out Gods of Violence when it is released on January 27th; it is all-killer with no filler and you won’t regret it.
