Punishment are a Toronto, Canada-based hard rock band which features ex-Slik Toxik guitarist Kevin Gale. The group’s sound, of which you can find awesome examples on their new album Remnants of Things Left Unsaid, is dirty and Southern-tinged and begs to be played loud. Long story short, in 2008, guitarist/songwriter Kevin Gale, who already saw success with his ’90s era metal band Slik Toxik, met lead vocalist Brad Searl and would together go on to form Punishment. In 2015 the group hit up Beach Road Studios and started working on the follow-up to 2009’s Beautiful Suffering EP, what would end up being Remnants of Things Left Unsaid. The album was produced with help from Juno award winner Siegfried Meier and completed at Vespa Studios with Harry Hess of Harem Scarem fame.
