Play It Loud is a captivating book covering the history of the electric guitar with a foreword by guitar legend, Carlos Santana. Authors Brad Tolinski (editor-in-chief of Guitar World) and Alan Di Perna (who has contributed to a multitude of publications including, Rolling Stone and Billboard) delve into the historic, gritty-to-glamorous past of the electric guitar, from the early thirties, and most humbling beginnings, to some of the most iconic figures in the world of music today.
The book covers various musical genres, from Jazz and Blues, to Country and Rock. The reader will most certainly recognize the plethora of notable guitar players throughout history, and even come to know some of the forgotten heroes of yesterday.
