Terrible as the Dawn – “Stains” [Free Song Download]
When we had the opportunity to share a free download of “Stains”, a new song from the Ann Arbor, Michigan duo known as Terrible as the Dawn, we were happy to oblige.
In our recent review (read it RIGHT HERE) of their debut 4-track EP, WEAK, released on August 19, 2016, we already noted that the Ann Arbor, Michigan duo known as Terrible as the Dawn is teeming with talent and potential. So, when we had the opportunity to help the band share a free download of their ripping song “Stains”, we were happy to oblige.
On this song, and the rest of the EP for that matter, the twosome – consisting of Caroline Fukuchi (vocals, guitar) and Stephen (vocals, drums) – offer up some grind-post-rock in the vein of The Body. Equal parts grindcore, metal, post-hardcore, post-metal, etc., Terrible as the Dawn recorded and mixed WEAK in Chicago, IL with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording while mastering comes courtesy of Brad Boatright at AudioSiege (Portland, OR).
