The Lazys -The Rivoli, Toronto – September, 16, 2016
At this point, it’s really just a matter of time as to when I expect to start seeing The Lazys win pretty much every award ever.

This past Friday night, I caught Australian rockers The Lazys once again, this time at Toronto’s Rivoli as part of their Howling Woman Tour with support from The Motorleague.
The Motorleague was a great opening act, filled with lots of guitar riffs and powerful choruses, it was clear they were having just as much fun on tour as The Lazys.
The Lazys, for their part, gave the kind of show that I’ve come to expect from the energetic rockers. I was nervous that The Rivoli was a little small for them, considering I’ve seen them at The Phoenix and they had recently played The CNE. But my worry was in vein as they gave the same insanely loud, uninhibited performance that they’re known for, playing fan favorites ‘All Fired Up’, ‘Black Rebel’ and ‘Shake It like You Mean It’.
Matty Morris even did his signature move of rocking out on the bar, not an easy feat if you’ve ever seen the size of the bar in The Rivoli’s backroom. And drummer Andy Neilsen, who was pretty much brand new the last time I saw them, played like he had been drumming these songs for the last 20 years. I was super impressed.
Like always, I cant say enough good things about this band. They’re the kind of act that I rearrange my life for an opportunity to see and, as previously mentioned, they are one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen .
At this point, it’s really just a matter of time as to when I expect to start seeing The Lazys win pretty much every award ever.
