Rockford, Illinois metalcore band, The Color Morale, just dropped their fifth studio album, Desolate Divine (via Fearless Records), this past weekend, and it’s pretty damn good.

They’ve shifted from their original metalcore sound towards a more alt rock/pop punk sound in this album, and I actually really enjoyed it. It’s nothing new or original, but it’s still a great album nonetheless. Every track on this album is awesome, but some of the really good tracks that I enjoyed were “Clip Paper Wings”, “Trail of Blood”, and “Perfect Strangers”.

After an entire summer at Warped Tour, the band has announced a North American tour happening this fall and winter as support to Our Last Night and Hands Like Houses, with support from Out Came The Wolves. Better get familiar with the new album!
