Canadian crushers Exalt are now streaming their new single “Worship” via YouTube. “Worship” is the third single off upcoming album The Shape You Took Before the Ache, out September 9th on Good Fight Music in the U.S., and on New Damage Records throughout the rest of the world.

New album The Shape You Took Before the Ache sees Exalt deliver massive, minimalist chunks of metallic hardcore, laced with eerie melody. The ominous sound bears some hints of the ’90s works of Godflesh and Deftones, while still grounded in the here and now, in league with the heaviest of today’s hardcore heroes, like Code Orange and Harm’s Way.

Of the new single, Exalt frontman Tyler Brand says, “‘Worship’ was a new venture for us as a band. It was a song less focused on being heavy, being aggressive, but more so it was a song focused on being a song, in a classic structural sense. We tried to utilize what we had as band to do something a bit uncomfortable and different for us.”
