Toronto band Goodnight, Sunrise recently announced the release of their latest single “Familiar Faces” from their upcoming sophomore album, Falling Awake. The track is the second single off Falling Awake, following last year’s release of “Deal With It”. Falling Awake is set for worldwide release this fall on Rejection Records.

“I wrote ‘Familiar Faces’ out of frustration, waking up every morning with excitement and big plans to take on the day only to be crushed and distracted by ever-present anxieties,” says Vanessa Vakharia, singer/keyboardist. “It’s about how anxiety can distort the world around you and the world within, and how hard it is to change old habits and patterns.”

“Familiar Faces” was produced by David Kochberg (also singer/guitarist in Goodnight, Sunrise), mixed by Matt Weston at Swamp Songs Studio, mastered by João Carvalho, and engineered by Matt Weston, Dean Marino, and David Kochberg. The artwork was designed by the band’s drummer Paul Weaver, featuring photography from visual artist Genevieve Blais.
