“The Idea of North” is our latest free download and it comes via the Vancouver, BC pop punk/indie rock trio, Sightlines. The song is the first from the group’s latest album, North, which came out this past April in a co-release between Axen’s own Alarum Records and up-and-coming Vancouver label Big Smoke. North is easily Sightlines’ most creative and exciting release yet, as they’ve outdone themselves with their songwriting and musicianship.
Sightlines is an up-and-coming Canadian band, but it’s not like they just formed five minutes ago. They’ve been together for a few years now and released their debut EP Summer in May of 2012. Since then, there has been a steady stream of one-off releases, but never any talk of any release running over three minutes… until now! This is a large step forward for Sightlines, so check it out!
