Salem’s Pot – “Tranny Takes a Trip” [Song Review]
With “Tranny Takes a Trip”, Salem’s Pot has left us with both a delicious and tantalizing treat, plus another reason to eagerly anticipate the summer release of Pronounce This!.
Spooky Swedish mystery men Salem’s Pot have been busy over the past few years. Signed to RidingEasy Records, the band have turned out three full-lengths in a short amount of time and, on July 22nd, 2016, we can expect more from the Doom conquerors.
“Tranny Takes a Trip” is the follow-up to the “Just for Kicks” single and the second nibble of what we can expect in the following months from their Pronounce This! LP. With what I’ve so far heard, it seems the group has definitely moved away from the more droning riffs and instead have mastered a more beefed-up rock n roll sound.
Either way, what Salem’s Pot has left us with is both a delicious and tantalizing treat, plus another reason to eagerly anticipate the summer release of Pronounce This!. They came to destroy our minds, they warned us, and now that is exactly what they’re doing.
